How I Work

My approach combines warmth and authenticity with concrete skills-learning and implementation. Clients come to me because they want to make changes in their lives. I provide them with the tools necessary to make these changes possible.

I see my clients as people, not problems. It is important for me to get to know my clients as individuals, so that we can craft the most effective treatment plan together. My clients trust that I will lovingly push them outside of their comfort zones in service of their goals. They also trust that we will laugh together in most sessions, and that my office will be a space in which they can share their most difficult experiences, emotions, and fears. My goal is to create a space where all of my clients can be honest without fear of judgment. Above all, my approach is collaborative: I meet my clients where they are, and we work together to get them where they want to be.

When they end therapy, my clients typically:

  • Engage in fewer avoidance behaviors

  • Feel more in control of anxiety and intense emotions

  • Feel more confident and independent

  • Have improved communication skills and relationships

  • Have a clearer sense of their values and how to live a life aligned with them
